Website:  While Eddie did not have much to say…we ALL had
lots to say about our magnificent, stupendous, marvelous
website, J))))))

NEW BUSINESS:
Project Lazarus has sent us a Thank You letter for our
donation at the first of the year.

CLAWS (Costal Leather Allegiance to Wisdom and Service)
(how cute J) sent NOBBTSC an invitation to join them at their
anniversary weekend March 7-9, 2008 in Myrtle Beach, South
Carolina.  George (who goes to everything) says it is always a
lot of fun.

There is a new Yahoo Group called
bearsofneworleans@yahoo.com .  In order to join this group,
you MUST state an age (over 21) in YOUR PROFILE, so if you
don’t have a profile in Yahoo, you will have to create one, if
only to state ANY age over 21. (Is that as clear as mud???)

Solitaire, the current reigning Ms Louisiana Leatherette, is
requesting help for her PRIZE chest ( a chest of gifts…not
HER prize chest).  She said she’ll gladly accept anything that
we wanted to donate to represent the Bears…ie…stuffed
animals, DVD’s, etc etc etc.  Please give any donations to
George, as he has so graciously offered to assist Solitaire
with her chest.

It was announced that March 17th is Cutter’s Bar anniversary
party AND the annual St Patrick’s Day Parade thru the
Bywater.  The club will most likely be asked to sell canned
beer from the curb outside the bar.  Please plan at attend,
even though that is a Monday night.  More on this at our
March meeting.

Discussion was held regarding a Bake Sale/Rummage Sale.  It
was decided by the Club to hold this event on Sunday March
16th outside Cutter’s bar. (yes, you can bring your palms….
palm Sunday, that is).

A discussion was held about our 14th Anniversary
“gathering”.  By vote of the Club, it will (again) be held at
George Tresch’s lovely home and yard on April 26th, 2008.
More on this later.

A suggestion was made, to set some funds aside to finance
our 15th anniversary party in 2009.  By vote of the Club,
$1500 will be used to purchase a 12 month CD.  Motion made
by George Tresch and 2nd by Vic V. Motion passed.
It is again time to think about our wayward child, Eddie….the
bear, not our Webmaster.  It is adoption time again.  We can
adopt Eddie for $75, or we could adopt Eddie, Betsy and
Camille (all 3 of the Louisiana Black Bears in the Zoo) for
$225.  Motion made by Vic V. and 2nd by Fred, was we adopt
all 3 of these lovely critters.  Motion passed.

A discussion was held, (after someone made a suggestion
…earlier) regarding a Rush Party for NOBBTSC.  After
discussion, and it was agreed by the Club that each Beer
Bust we host serves this same purpose, a NO vote was given
by the Club.

Steven again reminded all present about photographs and
some people not wanting to be in them.  If you know of
anyone that does NOT wish to appear in any of our photos,
and you see a camera pointed toward them, shield them in
some manner, to prevent their picture appearing against
their wishes.  Also, you could POLITELY remind the
photographer that this person does not wish to be
photographed.

Rumor Has It;….something about a Decadence Bear Dance….
who knows, as our Club has planned such an event.

OLD BUSINESS:
Bylaw revisions:  after review of the Club Purpose, no change
was made to this section.  The next discussion (at the Board
Meeting Febr 28th, at Lazarus House, 7pm) will cover Items
#1 (membership) and #2 (membership responsibilities).  If
anyone wished to attend the meeting, please feel free to be
there, and if you cannot attend, please feel free to let any
Board member of your ideas/concerns about these 2 items of
the Bylaws.  Jeff, also, reminded the Club, that one of the
functions of the Lieutenants is to relay just this sort of
information.  We all agreed with this, but, if you can not get
ahold of Jeff or Gilbert, any Board member will do.
