NOBBTSC Membership Meeting
Minutes 11-02-07


Meeting called to Order by President Steven Melancon at
8:02pm with 18 members present.

Secretary's Report: Minutes are found in the Newsletter
and on our Website, www.neworleansbears.com or
www.bearsofneworleans.com. Motion was made to
dispense with the reading of the Minutes by Vic V. and
2nd by Robert F. (Thanks, guys)

Treasurer's Report: Report was read by Treasurer George
Tresch. Report was accepted by motion made by Vic V.
and 2nd by Bryan L.

Vice President's Report: No report was available, in the
absence of Vice President Danny Lecompte.

Lieutenant's Report: Presented by Lieutenants Tibby T.
and Bryan L.

1) Oct 13th Bears Night Out at Five Happiness
2) Oct 19th Third Friday Beer Bust
3) Project Lazarus Halloween Weekend events
4) First annual Bears, Boos, and Booze event at Sweet
Olive B & B.

Media Updates: Newsletter: Tibby invited anyone to write
an article for the Newsletter with a deadline of the 3rd
Wednesday of each month. Website: Eddie reported he
was working on the Website. (All agreed, it is AWESOME,
EDDIE!!!!!)

Old Business:

1) Prior motion to amend Bylaws to include a separate
appointed position of Webmaster. Motion was discussed,
then approved by vote of Membership.

2)  Webmaster position was discussed. During the
discussion, Eddie was requested by the Membership, to
report back on any new items of equipment he might need
to support this Website. Eddie agreed

Events/ Activities:       

1) Bears Night Out

a) November 10, 2007 at Jack Dempsey's Restaurant at
7pm.

b) December 15, 2007 (Christmas Party) at Lazarus House
7pm
1) Bring a gift ($20 value) and receive the same
20   Adopt a Resident (Bear Buddies) a list of Room            
#'s and wish-lists of those residents will be available          
soon.
c) January 12, 2008.. .to be announced.

2) Bear Membership Meetings and Beer Bust
a) December 7, 2007 (Election of Officers)
b) January 4, 2007

3) 3rd Friday Beer Busts
a) November 16, 2007
b) December 21,2007
c) January 18, 2007

D) Bake Sale and 50/50 Garage Sale, November 18th
outside Cutter's Bar at 9am until all items are sold.

MEMBER ANNOUNCEMENTS

Dave reminded the Club of the New Years Eve Bears and
Bubbles party at the Sweet Olive B & B.

Sergio reminded the Club that December 7th is also the
Art Against Aids Fundraiser by the NO/AIDS Taskforce,
from 7pm 'til 12mn.

Birthdays and Anniversaries were announced.
