New Business:
The New Orleans AIDS Memorial is being dedicated in November of 2008.  It will
be located in Washington Park on Elysian Fields. A member suggested NOBBTSC
buy a “brick” to be placed in this Memorial.  Each “brick” will cost $100 and
must be ordered by the September 1st deadline. A motion was made by Bryan L.,
and 2nd by Vic V. that NOBBTSC purchase one of these “bricks” to be included
in this Memorial. Motion passed.
Lance, from the LSGRA, attended the Board Meeting briefly to present an offer.
The LSGRA is ordering buses to attend the Angola Rodeo on October 5, 2008.
This will be roughly a 12 hour trip: 2 ½ trip to Angola, several hours at the
Rodeo, and a 2 ½ hour trip back to Cowpokes.  The cost of a ticket is $60.
Lance offered to order a 3rd bus if NOBBTSC was interested in filling it…with 50
people.  He said each member would receive a $5 discount on the $60 price.
Beer and sodas could be sold on the bus as a fund-raiser for NOBBTSC.  This
information was presented at the NOBBTSC meeting.  After much discussion, it
was decided to decline LSGRA’s offer, as a Club, but we would certainly
encourage any of our members to attend that so desired.
