NOBBTSC Membership Meeting
Minutes 1-04-08

Meeting called to order at 8:05pm by President Steven
Melancon with 18 members present.

Secretary’s Report: Minutes can be found in the Newsletter
and on our Website www.bearsofneworleans.com or www.
neworleansbears.com . Motion was made to dispense with
the reading of the Minutes by Vic V. and 2nd by George
Tresch.

Treasurer’s Report: Report was presented by Treasurer
George Tresch. Motion to accept the Report was made by
Vic V. and 2nd by Bryan Lowrie.

Vice President’s Report: No Report…(hey, give him a
break…he has only been VP for 28 days).

Lieutenant’s Report: (Hmmm, one Lieutenant is ill and the
other ran out of gas) Report was presented by those present
at the Christmas Party and the Bears and Bubbles New Years
Eve party.

Media Updates:
Newsletter: Tibby asks that items for the Newsletter be
submitted by the 3rd Wednesday of each month.
Website: WE HAVE A NEW COMPUTER!!! And it works well,
according to Eddie P., our Webmaster.

New Business: A review of the Bylaws will initially take place
at the beginning of our Board meetings. If it becomes
necessary to have a separate meeting, we will address it at
that time. The next Board meeting will be held January 24th
at Lazarus House, 7PM.
The first item to be addressed will be the limited to the Club
Purpose. Anyone who wants to input ideas and cannot make
the meeting, please do so by e-mail or telephone before
Tuesday, January 22nd.

Old Business: NOBBTSC will be providing security for the
following Balls: Amon-Ra on 1-12, Petronius on 1-13, Satyricon
on 1-27, Armeinius on 2-2 and Lords of Leather on 2-03.
George Tresch is in charge of getting people for these
events. If any problems or issues come up, speak to George.
Standing Events/Activities:

Bear Meetings and Beer Busts:
February 15, 2008 (switched from 2-01 because of Mardi
Gras. Switch made by motion of George Tresch and 2nd by
Vic V.)
March 7, 2008

Bears’ Night Out:
January 19, 2008…a Pot Luck at Cutter’s Bar on Franklin
Street before/after/during the Krewe Du Vieux parade. (This
Night Out was moved from January 12th at our last meeting.)
February 9, 2008…at Elizabeth’s Restaurant at 7pm.
March 15, 2008…possibly at Jaeger’s Restaurant

3rd Friday Beer Busts:
January 18, 2008
February 15, 2008, to be held after our February meeting
March 21, 2008 (which happens to be Good Friday)

Upcoming Events/Activities:

Bears of Parade, January 27, 2008 from 10am until about 3pm
at the corner of St Charles and Josephine Streets. Bring your
favorite parade food, enough to share. Beer and sodas will be
provided by the Club. This event is free for members and $10
for non-members.

Night of the Black Mask, Saturday, February 1, 2008 outside
the Phoenix. NOBBTSC will be selling canned beer.

Bears, Bubbles and Beads, Monday, February 4, 2008 (Lundi
Gras) at the Sweet Olive B&B from 4pm to 7pm.

Lundi Gras Beer Bust at the Phoenix from 9pm until ?
Birthdays and Anniversaries were announced.

Member’s Announcements:

Buzzcut Ernie announced he has moved the buzz cut night to
the same Friday as our membership meetings.
